The Kafakumba Training Center

John and Kendra Enright established the Kafakumba Training Center in 1998. In addition to a conference center where they hold a pastors’ school for three months each year, they have started a wood shop, several agricultural projects, and other economic development ventures to help improve the lives of the local people. In an area where crime, unemployment, and hopelessness were rampant, they are making a difference by ministering to both body and soul. And God is greatly blessing their efforts!

Kafakumba Training Center

Check out this video that Bill created about the Kafakumba Training Center.  It includes interviews of several of the people whose lives are directly affected by the ministry. It also shows our plans for future improvements at the Center. Click here to watch the video.

What Are We Up To?

  • We are living at the Kafakumba Training Center near Ndola, Zambia.
  • We are missionaries with Enright Flight Ministries, an organization that was started by Ken and Lorraine Enright (John's parents) to minister to the people of the Congo. Enright Flight Ministries now ministers to the people of Zambia.
  • Keith, our youngest child at 18 years of age, is with us in Zambia. He is finishing high school online through the University of Nebraska.
  • Bill and Cassie work with the Center director, Pastor Kilembo, to plan and manage the many improvement projects at the Center. In addition, Bill runs the woodshop and is helping to organize the economic development projects (fish ponds, aloe vera, etc.). Cassie is leading a women's Bible study, is working with the women's ministries and is learning how to keep house in Zambia. There is a lot to do here and a lot of places to plug in.
  • We lead the praise team at our English church service held at Kafakumba.
  • Bill has left Delphi Electronics and Safety, where he worked for over 30 years. We are now raising financial support to provide for our salary. If you are interested in partnering with us financially, visit our "Partner With Us" page.

Pastors' School Video

Click here to watch a video Bill made about the 2011 session of Pastors' School.  Pastors' School is the primary function at Kafakumba.  By training pastors here, the Good News is spread all over Central Africa.
