• The BCA Spring Meeting (17th -19th April) was held at the University of Warwick. We were delighted that the Industrial Group Plenary lecture was given by Dan Shechtman, the 2011 Nobel Prize winner on Quasi-periodic materials.
 
• Our next meeting is on XRD: Phase Identification & Crystallography in Industry. This will be held on the 24th May and further details and links for registration can be found here. The meeting covers practical topics including Optimising Your Diffractometer and a question and answer forum with experts available to help resolve you problems. There are also speakers on topics including Phase ID of geological materials and Polymorphism. A one-day XRF meeting will take place at the same venue on the 23rd. Fees are £80 (£40 concessions) or both days £120 (£60 concessions). Registration is still open.
