 | Necropoli di Mandra Antine La tomba più significativa è la cosiddetta Tomba Dipinta. Essa è coperta da un tetto ed è caratterizzata dagli affreschi, che occupano tutte le pareti della camera d'ingresso. In basso e in alto sono dipinte fasce color cinabro, al centro fasce nere, mentre il colore di fondo è giallo oro e rosa. Due grandi coppie di corna su fondo oro sono dipinte sulla parete frontale. Il soffitto è dipinto in riquadri rettangolari, con fasce brune filettate in cinabro e giallo oro. Tutta la necropoli è datata al III millennio a.C.  Necropoli di Mandra Antine
The most important tomb is the so called “Tomba dipinta” (Painted Tomb). A ceiling covers it and it’s characterized by frescoes that decorate all the entrance room’s walls. The top, the base and the centre of the room are painted respectively with vermillion (top and base) and black (centre) stripes with a yellow, gold and pink background. Two huge couple of horns on a gold background are painted on the front wall. The roof is decorated with oblongs with vermillion and gold yellow stripes. The necropolis is dated III millennium b.C.. |
