Saturday Groups are held at:
Public Transport
Marylebone High Street is very well served for Public Transport. If you can come on the tube or bus, do so, as it will save you a great deal of 'parking angst'.
On the tube
Marylebone High Street is walking distance from
Baker Street (Circle and District Line, Bakerloo line, Jubilee line),
Bond Street (Central & Jubilee lines) &
Regent's Park Statiions (Bakerloo line).
On the bus
There
are also plenty of buses* : The *27*, *30* & *18* all run along
Marylebone Road. Alternatively the *13*, *113* & *82* all run down
Baker Street or up Gloucester Place. Catching buses to Oxford street
(too numerous to note here), and walking up from Selfridges is another
option.
Car Parking
Car Parking is expensive. There are two nearby car parks : one in Cramer Street, just behind Waitrose, and another multi-storey car park at the corner of Chiltern Street and Paddington Street.
There is also a good deal of
meter parking. The traffic wardens are particuarly 'keen' to ticket, so care should be taken if using meters. Parking tarrifs are listed on the Westminster Council web site. As of October 2007 a great deal of Marylebone Parking Meters have been removed and payment for parking is by Mobile telephone. Please see
The Westminster City Council web site for more details of how to pay by phone.
For Westminster residents with parking permits, Marylebone High Street is in zone "F".
Local facilities
Marylebone High Street is ver

y good for shopping, eating cakes and drinking quite expensive coffee. It is also close to Regents Park, so good for that after class picnic and run around. There are also very good
tennis courts in Regents Park.
There is also a very nice and friendly small park and well equipped
playground nearby on
Paddington Street.
There are two local music shops : the nearest is Chimes, located within the Royal Academy of Music, on the North side of the Marylebone Road. There is also a Boosey and Hawkes shop on Wigmore Street.
On Saturdays there is a market selling clothes and some food in the gardens of St Marylebone Church, just next to St Marylebone School.
