SITE UPDATED: April 16th, 2012 WE ONLY HAVE A FEW DATES LEFT AVAILABLE FOR SPRING 2012. Baxter Conservation Area is located along the shores of the Rideau River; 5 minutes south of Kars and North Gower, ON. It is owned and operated by the RIdeau Valley Conservation Authority. Baxter consists of 68 hectares of mixed forest, open meadow, a freshwater pond, nut tree plantation and beautiful wetlands. The five kilometers of trails and boardwalks, beach, group camping area and interpretive center provide wonderful, safe access for excellent outdoor exploration.
