Step 12: Remove fan ring from old clutch and attach to new. The fan ring is attached to the clutch by 4 1/2" inch bolts. Remove the bolts from the old fan clutch. Inspect the fan ring for damage. Look for loose blades, blades out of plane or pitched incorrectly. If good install the fan ring to the new clutch. Pictured here is the fan ring attached to the new clutch and ready to be installed to the water pump pulley.

A quick and dirty trail fix. Zip ties strapped over the blade roots and shaft helped to keep the fan turning as the fan clutch was greatly weakened. This rigging was good for about 15 to 20 miles. The heater was also run to help keep temps to an acceptable level.
