Urban Critters Problem: Raccoons, Squirrels, Possums, Rats, and Pidgeons are seen as annoying dirty little creatures that dwell in our city life. Solution: Changing a point of view. These little guys do more than we think they do. And it was us, who invaded their territories, forcing them to live out lives of disgrace. They aren't just here to decorate the streets. Benefit: Cohabitation. Letting them live their lives, and letting us live ours. We can be one big happy family living with mom under one roof called earth. Sponsor : You will not be attacked by all the present and future roadkill in your next life. (In other words, people will learn to appreciate these critters and see them as animals and not pests.) Visuals: Possibly hand drawn line art with naturesque paper. Taking a Bath Problem: Baths have been forgotten. When you reach the age of 10, you move on to showers. Why is it that we only enjoy these as a child? Solution: Baths have been proven to relax and reduce stress levels of an adult. Making bathing fun for an adult and changing their state of mind about a bath. Showing them information and outcomes of why they should take more baths. Such as when a bath is more environmentally friendly than a shower (time/water) and other benefits. Sponsor: People who are more relaxed make better people. Better people make better choices and are happier. Happiness makes the world go round. Visuals: Soaps. Bubbles. Rubber Duckies. Raw Food Problem: Cooking fresh foods like vegetables and fruits, kill or drastically reduce the number of nutrients naturally contained in them. Solution: Eat more raw foods. Knowing which ones to eat raw and which ones that are better cooked (a few veggies need to be cooked to have the nutrient exposed). Sponsor: Healthier people help the economy. They get sick less and are more productive. More people buy fresh fruits and veggies helping farmers and will hopefully reduce the amount of processed foods. Visuals: Hand drawn veggies on chipboard (or cardboard). Collectible cards with images and lists on them. Collect them all! Did you know's.
Trace the image onto the plate
Trace the image onto the plate
i bought a bunch of ceramic paint pens (Porcelaine) from Blick. my first project with them was to decorate a few plain white salad plates with designs from Urban Threads. i can't draw very well and i saw a tutorial that said you could use carbon paper to transfer images onto the plates, then trace with the paint pens. it's a good idea to cut out the design so you can see how it will fit onto the plate, then tape it down so it doesn't move while you're tracing
