Justin's Thanksgiving Dictation

It's a terrible picture (from my cell phone), but I had to post it. Justin's preschool teacher loves to do dictation with the children, in which she asks them to talk about a subject, and then copies down what they say, verbatim. This dictation is about Thanksgiving ... and this is what my comical son had to say: "There is nowhere to get a turkey but Taco Bell. Say "Please" to them. They will say "You're Welcome." Order the bean burrito turkey -- it is very good. Also get some macaroni. I will make a big huge table -- well, pretty big. They will have wood at Target. Maybe we can put decorations on the table to make it fancy. All my friends and family and you will be there too -- just really a bunch of people. It's okay with my parents. How about a pretty basket to decorate the table and get some nice flowers at Costco? Dessert will be ice cream -- chocolate chip cookie dough. Our snack will be a cookie. I like to talk about this stuff because it's my favorite. I want to say more ... I want to say that I love you. (giggle, giggle.) For the record -- we rarely, if ever, go to Taco Bell with the kids -- and we never get burritos, only tacos! We don't have burritos at home, even! (I actually can't STAND burritos -- all that food touching each other, yuck!) We don't shop at Costco. I don't know where this boy gets his fertile imagination! (Oh wait ... well, there is the whole genetics thing ... :-) Justin's was by far, the funniest and longest, though the other children had some funny stuff, too. One girl suggested chicken fingers for dessert, and Justin's buddy Aidan insisted that his dad would have "toasty beer." Four year olds are probably the most fun age a child can be.
