The Catholic Diocese of Jagdalpur is a Syro-Malabar diocese situated in Chhattisgarh, India. On March 23, 1972 the Exarchate of Jagdalpur was created.

In 1977 Jagdalpur was raised to a diocese and Msgr. Paulinus Jeerakath CMI was consecrated as the first bishop.

Mar Simon Stock Palathra C.M.I is the present bishop of the diocese.

The Catholic Diocese of Jagdalpur covers the five southern most districts (Kanker, Narayanpur, Bastar, Bijapur and Dantewada) of the Chattisgarh state of India.

The total area of the diocese is 39176 Sq.Kms its population is mainly constituted of tribals.

The people are very poor and their livelihood mainly depends on agriculture, fishing, hunting, collecting forest produce etc. They enjoy the folk songs and dances.

The diocese of Jagdalpur is active in the fields of education, health care, leadership – empowerment programmes, social welfare, care of orphans and the aged etc.
