PLASTIC VINYL TABLECLOTH. LINEN RENTAL COMPANIES. WOMENS LINEN SKIRT. Plastic Vinyl Tablecloth
Neato Fate made its intervention clear when I went to Longs Drugs in my town. Normally, I go in there to buy bug spray for my roses, but I kept walking and found out that this one has a whole fabric section. I am not interested in fabrics in general, but it does kind of stand out when you see a fabric shop, elaborately equipped in the middle of a drug store. I saw rolls of clear plastic in varying thickness hanging from dispenser racks. They would be perfect to cover the tablecloths in case I did something horrible like spill barbecue chicken on them. It was obvious that someone was going to have to cut it for me. It was pretty late at night, about 9:30pm, and no one was in the area to help. I saw a doorbell screwed into the desk in front of the section and pressed it. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!" It was completely unexpected and scared the living shit out of me. Worse, no one came, so a couple of minutes later I pressed the doorbell again. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!" This time I heard a voice shout out from several aisles over "I'm coming!". It was clear, even from several aisles away that she was not happy about this. I was determined that I was not going to have one of those cliched retail moments where I become enraged, so I put on my jolly face and asked for 2 yards of clear vinyl. We actually became something of a team just then because she had no one around to hold the sheet steady while she cut it, so I did the honors for her. I told her what I was going to do with it, and She seemed to believe me. I actually feel proud of myself for being so resourceful as to have done this. KLINGON SPACESHIP- SINGLE WARRIOR BATTLEPOD- HO' JEJQU' ("VERY SHARP TOOTH") CLASS- "CASHUALTY"
"UNDER DURAS..." Budgeting the construction of the one-to-one scale Klingon spaceship prop was a matter of diligent calculation. A specialist in accounting was called in and encouraged to do his best work..... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are some (but by no means all) of the purchases made during the construction of this project: ALL PURPOSE RED SPRAY ENAMEL (X2) - $5.96 SPRAY ENAMEL COPPER HAMMERED METAL FINISH (X2) - $23.42 VINYL TABLECLOTH CRYSTAL CLEAR (137CM X 1MM) - $26.80 BAR ALUMINIUM FLAT 2M (X7) - $77.77 MEDIUM DENSITY FIBREBOARD VARIOUS SIZES AND THICKNESSES (ABOUT 12 SHEETS) - $48.15 DRILL BITS - $12.25 HEXHEAD BOLTS - $39.00 (All prices in Aussie roo-bles) The vinyl tablecloth listed was especially heavy clear plastic that I used to make the transparent canopy for the spaceship....perspex sheeting would undoubtedly have been better but wouldn't have fit within the budget. Fortunately, I didn't have to buy much paint, since I already had in stock a four litre can of acrylic that was already tinted yellow. Adding blue and touches of other colour gave me the basic green hue that I needed for the main body of the ship. Regarding the picture, I decided that those bloody Duras Sisters, Lursa and B'Etor, were in the best position to help the Ferengi with figures.... The most irritating thing about this set-up was that the two Klingon sheilas kept overbalancing and falling down. Guess it was their instruments of torture that kept making them topple!
