Driver

The driver is the club you will use the most when you are teeing off unless you are on a par 3 hole or if you are more comfortable usin a fairway wood. There are many different types and brands of drivers on the market today. Choosing the right one for yourself will vary depending on the type of golfer you are.

One important detail to take into account when looking for the right driver is it's shaft. The longer the shaft the more arc and leverage you will have which will give you a longer shot.

Another important part of the driver is the grip. Basically if you have big hands your going to want to get a grip that is more on the thick side. If your hands are small a thin grip is the type you will want.

Now lets talk about the different types of club heads you will find on most of todays drivers. First theres the titanium golf head. This golf head is made out of light weight graphite that allows for a faster swing. The club head itself  is oversized making it a little bit more forgiving if you don't hit the ball square.

Next theres the steel type club head. A steel club head is heavier than the titanium club so you can expect a slower swing when using this type of club. The head itself is smaller in size making it a little less forgiving than a titanium club head.

As far as costs go the titanium club will be more expensive then the steel club. A lot of sporting good stores have a spot in their golf section where you can try different clubs. Go there and try both types and see which type fits you the best.
