BASEBOARD HEATERS HOT WATER - CONVECTAIR WALL HEATERS. Baseboard Heaters Hot Water
Front Knee-Wall Front Knee-Wall with the opening to the gable space. This space has heating pipes that run up through a first floor closet and into the attic... this is supposed to be unconditioned space, I guess I need to insulate and box these pipes, otherwise it's like I literally have a baseboard heater operating outside the house wasting heat. The position of the air bleeders is also ridiculous because how do you possible use them w/o ending up with scalding hot water pouring back down the pipes and into the space below. The walls/ceiling are ruined in that area, someone said "oh you must have had a roof leak", but now I'm wondering if it was actually a leak in these pipes. Utility Room
One day while we were sorting another room, we picked up the smell of something hot. After a little searching, we found the electric baseboard heater in this view completely covered with debris including plastic bags. Pulling the debris away it was discovered the heating unit was cooking the plastic bags onto its surface. I thought all of the heaters were turned off.....the thermostat for this unit is located behind the hot water heater completely out of sight!!!! This bad boy doesn't heat any more. All electricity is cut off now when we leave.
