The 25m events are all targeted at our 9 and under swimmers, with the other events being Open or at the coaches discretion “AT THE COACHES DISCRETION” has been brought in this year for swimmers who will change age 9/10 next year before county age groups, and therefore allows them the opportunity to compete for a qualifying time. Entries for these can be made by following the link On line payment and are £1-25 per event. Warm up time for club champs is 5pm, with the pool being available for those who can help set things up at 4.30pm. We have a core number of people who help during these club champs, but could always do with more, especially operating the electronic timing system and when putting stuff away. The more people that help, the easier it is for everyone involved. If you can lend a hand or wish to know more, please e-mail Andy at chairman@barrowasc.co.uk 6th April - Calender updated. 30th December 2011 - As you will be aware the new training times started on 3rd January 2012. Please note that the coaches will be responsible for opening the Leisure Centre for morning training. Access to the building for swimmers and parents will be via the rear storeroom door. The front doors of the premises will not be opened. Swimmers will only be allowed access to the changing rooms. Parents can have access to the cafe area. Please do not enter any other part of the building.
A similar situation will occur for the Sunday sessions. From 4.30pm only the swimming club will be in the building. There will be only a Duty Officer from the Leisure Centre in attendance. A Squad swimmers and parents attending the 5.30pm session can enter the building via the main entrance. Again access will only be allowed to the changing rooms and cafe area. B and A Squad swimmers and parents will leave the building via the main entrance.
Can all swimmers and parents please abide by the information above. If we start to abuse the trust we have been given by wandering around the parts of the Leisure Centre that are off-limits, these training sessions will be withdrawn. Please can the swimmers leave the changing rooms as tidy as possible. Can the parents ensure that the cafe area is kept tidy as well.
