So I thought how about recycling used wedding dresses, giving them another lease in life. I'm not thinking of just re-using an old and dowdy style that doesn't fit well - but rather restyling and refashioning old dresses into new styles to reflect the shape and personality of the bride of today - and to provide an ethically sound and affordable option.

The idea was born, ... take one or more old dresses, carefully take them apart preserving all their best features, and create a new unique dress personally tailored for the new bride - reflecting her taste and style.

Of course, there is nothing new under the sun. In the past many of us wore our mother's or grandmother's gowns and this link through the generations gave us a sense of continuity and fulfillment. For many today this seems out dated, they must buy something new, just for them, even if it is never used again. Well for the rest, maybe Another Stitch in Time could be just the service they need!
