Happy Birthday Justice Bounds! -  One Year Old!!!!!

I thought I would let you know that Justice is now one year old and growing. He is still giving us a run for our money but we wouldn’t change it for the world. Thought I would share this with you. My Nephews came over to our house and he was so happy and running all around. Well if you look at the picture he has a foot stool that he thinks is only his.

Well one of my nephews went to sit on it and he ran right to it and sat there until they left. If you look at the one picture he looks mad and on the other one they had left he was alright. He is something else I tell you. I thought it was the funniest thing because he has do out grown it as to where his paws hang off of it now.
But I can only say this I know there is way more to come. He is as spoiled as you told me long ago he was spoiled. Well I have to admit yes he is and he runs all over me. Not Derek so much but me yes. (Sound familiar

J)

Anyway I just want to thank you for bringing him into our lives I would not change one thing about him. J

Thanks for Everything,

Erica and Derek

August 2009 -

He is not even one yet. And you where right he has me wrapped around his paw. I try and try but I can't help it. I know that I need to a liitle more agressive, but this is going to be really hard for me. Here are some pictures of him then and now. Thank you for giving me the best and only dog that I will have hopefully the rest of my life.  I had dogs growing up but I wasn't as close to them. I didn't even want him remember? Man how they can change you.

Update on Barefoot's Vado - He loves running through the house really hard and fast after taking a bath. We sit back, laugh and watch until he wears himself out and then falls asleep.

He goes to bed in his crate with soft soothing music and a fan sitting in front of his crate blowing on him. He is sooooo S*P*O*L*D*E*D! He gets he teeth brushed with chicken flavored toothpaste and loves it! He is not afraid of any sounds... lighting, vacuum ...

He knows how to sit, understands lay down, No Bite, Leave it, play with toys, wait and my favorite DO IT! He is so funny and a joy to be around. '

Thanks for all your help!

James and Mariam

Happy Birthday Yogi Bear! - May 14, 2009  One Year Old!!!!!

As you can see, I’m a BIG dog now (110 lbs) and have grown up to be a very gentle, loving, companion.  I like kids, visitors, my parents, and neighbors but have reservations about sales people and some males that I meet on my walk.  I have learned to become somewhat intimidating to some dogs without biting when they bark or growl at me – my growl is bigger!

Breanna (my female rott companion) is still my favorite playmate even though I’m not sure she appreciates me as much as she did when I was a puppy; she can’t push me around as easily anymore.  I also tend to push her away from my parents and that aggravates her.
I play in the pool every day even if it is very cold.  However, taking a bath is still not one of my favorite activities.

Not much else I can tell you but since tomorrow is my birthday I thought I would say Hi!

Yogi Bear

November 12, 2008 - 6 months  (Yogi on Left)
Hi, Yogi Bear here, and I’m glad to report that life is going well.  I almost have it all figured out and mostly I am in control.  I AM a big dog now (75 pounds) and while my big sister still believes she is boss, I can make life rough if she does not do what I wish.

I’m into advanced obedience training now (better than my big sister) and really do like the water (it is the best excuse that I can come up with to get dried with a towel).  I really like people and only bark a little when they come in my front yard or to my front door.
Hope everything is going well with y’all.

Daisy's Story - April 17, 2009

It was just over a week ago when Daisy’s owner Stephanie called me. Daisy was ill. She found her that morning lethargic…. vomit every where. Daisy refused to eat or drink. I encouraged Stephanie to call her vet right away. When Stephanie called me later the news was not good. Daisy had Parvo.

I can’t think of anything more devastating. How did this happen? Daisy was a perfectly healthy 4 month old Rottie puppy. She was current on all her vaccinations and had actually been to the vet just a week early. Up until Saturday morning; Daisy was a big ball of slobbery energy. How could thinks go bad so quickly?

Daisy’s story is a happy one, thanks to her owner’s quick response and tireless vigil. It has been a rough week at Daisy's home. She has been a very sick puppy. She required daily trips to the vet for treatment and round the clock care. Daisy is doing better everyday.

April 20, 2009: Update on Daisy -  She is almost 100%, back to her bouncy perky puppy self! Although she really like the royal treatment and speacil attention she received. She is eating like a horse to make up for all those missed meals! That's the best news we've had all day! You go Daisy Girl
 July 2008   Tazmainia Owner - Misty C.
.... you know I could not ask for a better dog. Taz is so sweet. Every person that is around her says that. The instructors at play group also say how polite she is with other dogs.

Ms. Tazmania December 2009

April 20, 2009 - Tazmania is doing well, she is getting so big and just as loving as can be.  She sleeps with us every night and every single morning when the alarm goes off she crawls up to me and lays her head across my neck and just gives kisses.. talk about spoiled.

I just love her to death.

Hey Family!

It's me Gunner Bear, a.k.a. Compton Blue! I'm sorry I haven't written' you guys, Ike tore up mom and dad's internet till just last week. I'm doing fine, got all my shots and the vet says I am going to be a VERY big boy. I play all day and Dad takes me around to see my other doggy friends like Sincere, Buddy and Louie. I have tons of energy and everyone says I'm the sweetest little puppy they have ever met. I can sit, speak, lay-down, shake and fetch... so far!

I still can't seem to load any pictures, but will try again real soon!

Love Gunner!

Thought you'd like a quick update on Reese. - Audrey Anderson

Here she is cooling off in the fountain of our home after a walk. She got spayed this week and had no problems. We just got back from Colorado and she enjoyed the cooler air and likes to hike. Her first hike was 7 miles and she did great. She weighs 51 lbs now. She is very sweet and loves everyone. She is on the wild side (for a Rottweiller) and does have a bit of an idependent streak which makes it interesting. I am happy to say she is growing out of most of her bad "puppy habits" but still has a fondness for rolls of toilet paper!

Hope all is well with you.

Happy Birthday Barefoot's Hannah Webber! -  One Year Old!!!!!

Thought you’d enjoy seeing a couple of pictures of our 1-year old Hannah. She’s turned out to be a beautiful dog with a sweet personality – and a little independent streak that keeps life interesting!

Hope all is well with your new litters.

Best regards, and stay in touch,

Alan and Kathy

Bia is a big spoiled baby. We are so glad we made the decision to purchase from you. Bia has gotten huge. She has the funniest expressions. She is great entertainment. There is a merry-go-round and swing set in her pin. She is funny to watch playing on these.

Max is Growing! - June 5, 2009

This is Max!
- May 4, 2009
I know Mister would be proud of him.

Max came home Friday evening, May 1.  He was born on Mister's birthday, Feb 28.  It took him him less than two minutes to find Mister's toybox stash.  With Mister's scent in the house he did not have a troubled moment; settled right in and got comfortable.
What an awesome guy in his own right.  He knows that he owns the place.  Max is a momma's boy - which is fine in the middle of the night!

What a fine new member of the family to carry on Mister's legacy.  There is a lot of sunshine here again.

Heart & Soul - My Best Friend

May 7, 2009 - Reese

Just thought you would like a quick update. Reese is adjusting well to her new family. She particularly loves to be out in the yard. Unfortunately she loves to dig and chew the shrubs!

She eats like a horse and has gained a few lbs. She checked out well with our vet who said she had a wonderful disposition and temperment. "She's a good one" he said.

Jesse (our Lab) is starting to come around but they are not best buddies yet. Resse adores her however.

Potty training is coming along (we have had a lot of rain which has slowed the process as she does not like to go out in the rain).

She sleeps through the night which I am amazed at and has tons of energy. She is quite a handful to keep up with but does well in her crate when she can't be watched.

We love her to death and just wanted you to know. I will keep you posted.

Thought we’d send some recent pictures of our “puppy” – she’s now beyond 65 pounds, and a sweet bundle of energy.

November 19, 2008

Well, Hannah seems less and less like a puppy and more like a medium-sized dog every day – but she has she sweetest disposition and most beautiful coat and markings we’ve ever had in a Rottweiler, so we’re thrilled with her. We spent a few days in Houston at the end of last week, and took Hannah down to meet her “grandparents” – they fell in love with her, too, and have asked several times why we had to take her back to Austin with us!

Thanks again for giving her such a fine start in life, and for picking her out for us.

All the best,

Dear Barefoot Kennel,

I received one of your dogs for Christmas 2 years ago. I just had to write and tell you what an awesome dog Trouble is. He is the "Best Dog Ever!" He is so smart and easy to train. He is eager to learn anything I throw at him. He has become such a big part of our family and my best friend.

Thanks for such a great dog! - Austin N.
