10. Memphis mora (family Nymphalidae) All Memphis mora caterpillars from the ACG eat only one food plant, Ocotea cernua. (Incidentally, Ocotea belongs to the plant family Lauraceae, the family of the avocado and the bay leaf.) Memphis mora's habitat is rich in trees of the Luraceae, but the female lays eggs only on O. cernua. The adult females have tails on their hind wings and for both sexes the underwings are the dark mottled color of decaying leaves (see also Siderone galanthis).
