9. Bungalotis diophorus (family Hesperiidae)

Males and females of Bungalotis diophorus butterflies are very different in appearance, as can be seen in this Fusion Table showing all 606 rearing records.  Their caterpillars construct day shelters from custom-cut leaves and their own silk thread.  Shelters and caterpillars, pupae and one parasitoid's cocoon hidden inside a shelter can be seen here.
