KIDS WITH A MISSION:

Thank you for your contributions to the Children’s Offering in support of Hope Now For Youth. Our new local Mission focus is to provide bicycles and helmets to Hope Now for Youth. Bicycles are the main transportation for many of the young men in Hope Now. Without bicycles they have difficulty getting to their jobs on time.
Our goal is to raise enough to purchase 10 bicycles and helmet's through the children's offering, recycling and simple fundraisers. The children will go on one "field trip" to the recycling centre and another to purchase the bicycles and helmets.
When told about our Mission goal, Executive Director of Hope Now for Youth, Roger Feenstra, said: Wow, that would be a blessing! We have so much trouble getting bicycles. This project would be a big help! Thank you for thinking of us.
Watch here for more information on how you can help!

Message from Children's Ministry Director, Barbara Mazman:

Dear Parents,
Your family is important to our church. And we want to support your role as spiritual leader to your child. In our effort to provide the highest quality Christian education, we are using FaithWeaver® Bible Curriculum. FaithWeaver makes Bible learning fun and uses a variety of active experiences to help students learn in the ways they learn best. We want to partner with you in your child’s Christian education. As a parent, you are the most important spiritual teacher for your child. Using the resources that are part of FaithWeaver, you can make a huge contribution to your child’s Christian growth by leading activities and discussions that help make connections and apply what’s learned at church to daily life.

  • Every week your child will receive a take-home paper that includes ideas for family discussions and activities that will help cement what your child learns at church.
  • Check out the HomeConnect™ Internet updates at Faithweaver.com, (just click on “HomeConnect”) for links on the Internet that families can explore together to reinforce weekly Bible Points. These ideas are created specifically to help families grow closer as they grow in relationship with Jesus!

All FaithWeaver resources—from preschool through adults—explore the same Bible story, making it easier for you to help your family grow in faith together.
We hope you’ll find encouragement in your role as a parent and a spiritual leader for your child. May these tools serve to remind you how important you are in your child’'s life— and how blessed you are to be entrusted with this awesome responsibility!
God bless you!

Youth Ministry

What a terrific group of students we have in youth group this year! We have had a great time in recent weeks with several special events. April 25-26, our students fasted for a day and learned about global hunger and poverty as we raised money for World Vision during the 30 Hour Famine. We had the opportunity to share some of what we learned in church the following Sunday. We had a Video Scavenger Hunt and caught all the kids’ hilarious antics on tape & viewed them together over pizza that evening.
This summer, we are looking forward to our summer missions trip to Los Angeles with the Center for Student Missions. We are taking eight students and two adults, and anticipate working with children, the homeless, the elderly and working in a distribution center. We will have many opportunities to learn about different ethnic groups and social issues regarding poverty and homelessness in the area. We are also looking forward to summer Swim Bible Studies. The Junior High is meeting on Tuesday evenings at the Leon house, and the Senior High is meeting on Thursdays at the Brennan’s. The swim studies will run from 6-7:30pm. Please pray with us for our youth and for the opportunities we have to reach out to students in our community.

Operation Timothy

Discipleship is God's means of maturing new Christians in intimacy with Him so that they will be witnesses of Christ in everything they do.

Operation Timothy is an opportunity to build a relationship with another believer or seeker, either one-on-one or in a small group and grow together. It doesn't set anyone up as a teacher, rather it leads followers of Christ on the same journey toward intimacy with God.

Thousands have worked through Operation Timothy and have had their lives and their vision changed. Don't hesitate to enter as a disciple or as a discipler. God will touch you, mold you, and use you for His kingdom purpose.

Men's Ministry

Men of the Cross

Iron Sharpens Iron. One man to another. Men come together. Breakfast = lots of good eats. Marc Balucas, our caterer, makes our breakfasts. As Men of the Cross we work together: set up tables, set the tables, sit at the tables and EAT.
Men of the Cross features speakers to challenge and motivate us to be true men of the cross. True men of God. Disciplers of men. Encouragers of men. Putting others ahead of ourselves. (Philippians 2:3-4).
Men of the Cross laugh together - even cry together. Men don't cry very often but when the Almighty touches a man's life - that man becomes humble, broken, softer, gentler - to become the man, the husband, the father God wants us to be.
All men are invited. Not boring - exciting, fun, riveting - men stuff.
