Shopper's World in Framingham, Massachusetts is the name of a strip mall located on Route 9, near the intersection of Route 30 and the Mass Pike (I-90) in Framingham. It is an unenclosed shopping center of a type known as a "power center".

Shoppers World 1951-1994

I loved this place, it was the best mall in the world. Developers bulldozed this beautiful place and replaced it with a bunch of ugly big-box stores. Shoppers World opened October 4, 1951 and in spring, summer and fall had the most beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. Shoppers World hosted live bands, animals, and other great attractions. I made a point to shop here at Christmas time because of the wonderful atmosphere: the lights, reindeer, music playing and brisk cool air as I went from shop to shop. All a memory now and in my opinion, what replaced it is a monstrosity and the epitome of greed. I took this photo several years before they tore it down. Redevelopment at Shoppers World Brampton

It's fascinating how many wires are embedded into the cement of a building. The Simpsons store was built 1971, two years after the mall opened, and once Americans got their hands on HBC, they closed this location of The Bay, to sell the land it was on. (Ironically, the land was never owned by the mall until recent years.)
