CLUB NIGHT
A good way to get to know Bantham and Ongar Bowls Club is to come along to a Club Night. The club is open every Thursday evening from 6:15 pm throughout the season for members and guests. During the winter the club night is held on Mondays at 7:00 pm, when short mat bowls is available. You can have a roll up, practice your bowls or receive a bit of informal coaching. If you don't feel like playing the bar is open or if you prefer there's always tea and coffee. You don't need to dress up for a club night, you can borrow a set of bowls but you should wear a pair of flat soled shoes.
So if you're interested in taking up bowls and can't get along to one of our open days then a Bantham and Ongar Club Night is a good alternative. Whilst you can just turn up it's probably a good idea to let us know you're coming. If you email us first we'll make sure that there is someone to welcome you as our guest, show you round and get you set up on the Green.
