Welcome to Banbury U3A (University of the Third Age) Retired or semi-retired? Want to make new friends and learn something new?
U3A is a voluntary co-operative of older people, from all walks of life, which enables members to share learning, creative and leisure activities. You don't need any qualifications to join and no qualifications are awarded. Monday Afternoon Meetings We have two a month, held at St. Joseph’s Church Hall, Edmunds Road, Banbury, from 2.30 - 4.30 p.m. On the second Monday of each month (except August and Bank Holidays) we usually have an invited speaker on a topic of general interest. On the fourth Monday of each month there may be speakers from our own membership or local organisation, a presentation by a Special Interest Group or some other activity, with a 'Bring and Buy' as well.

Special Interest Groups This is a wide variety of Special Interest Groups from Art, Bridge, Books, Coffee House, Creative Writing, Languages, Music, Scrabble, Sporting Activities and Walking. Some interest groups meet weekly, others once or twice a month; in local halls or private homes, during the day.

Social Programme
There is a social programme which can include evening events and trips.

Other Activities There are U3A regional activities including study days organised by our local group of U3As - The Thames Valley Network.

Newsletters There is our own newsletter 3 times a year, a Bulletin in other months. There is also 'U3A News' 4 times a year and 'Sources' 3 times a year from our national organisation, the Third Age Trust.
