Bamshad Houshyani, Persian(Iranian), was born in Dubai in October 17th 1977. Finished his phys&math diploma in Tehran Iran 1995. Graduated from Guilan University in B.Sc. Irrigation Eng, Rasht, Iran, 1999. Graduated from Tarbiat Modares University in M.Sc. Hydro-structures Eng. Tehran 2002. Finished  a one year training photography program held by fine arts faculty at Tehran University.

After working for 4 years in the relevant fields of background studies for two multi-national agricultural companies in Tehran, he decided to add another major track to his education. As he was always concerned about the environment and its proportional relation with society's sustainability he became motivated to follow Sustainale Development in the field of Sustainable Energy Development.

As the result in Feb 2005 he started studying his 2nd M.Sc. education at Utrecht University in the discipline of Energy Science master program in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In May 2007 he successfuly finished his studies and got his master degree in Energy Science. His master thesis was in the file dof solar energy research and the title was: The effect of a varying solar spectrum on the energy perfromance of solar cells.

He also has spent two months at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) in the Bilt, the Netherlands as a guest researcher and as a part of his master program. (link to the report)
