Impact on History

The Hundred Years' War was a raging conflict between the English and the French that lasted 116 years, fought primarily over claims to the French throne. There were four major wars spaced with several brief periods of peace. This conflict between the English and the French during the Hundred Years' War impacted the modern world by discontinuing the feudal system and bringing Europe towards the Renaissance.
