Victorian Modesty Screen

In the front bedroom of No.2 Ravensworth Terrace in Beamish Museum is this highly decorated Victorian modesty screen. The screen has four leaves and all eight surfaces are decorated to the level of the two in view, the only difference being that the designs on this side are coloured and on the other side monochrome. The designs provide a fascinating insight into Victiran life and personalities.

A row of highly-decorated houses on Waller Street, San Francisco. Love the similar, yet different trim on each one. The color of the photo is not so great; it was foggy that day.
