What should I eat for breakfast?
This is a great question! The short answer is “know thyself”. 3 years ago my best friend and I were training for a 15k together. This meant I had to learn to fuel my body for anything between a 3 mile tempo run and an 8 mile long run. I experimented with fruit, grains and protein. I found that the days I ate a banana I was tired after 30 minutes. I discovered that for me 1 egg will carry me through most any workout. Although, I do have a few clients that take my class on an empty stomach and have stamina through the entire class. I do recommend trying breakfast though to get the most out of your workouts.
Even if you aren’t necessarily hungry when you wake up for your am workout, I would try experimenting with small portions of different types of foods. Recognize how your body is responding during the middle and end of class. See how you feel, and you will figure out your bodies needs.
