The Grade 7 & 8 Experience:
Baker
School’s seventh and eighth grade program combines the best
features of a neighborhood elementary school and a comprehensive
middle school. An outstanding faculty focusses on the academic/social
and character needs of students in a relatively small setting
of 150 students.
Our
seventh and eighth grade program offers young adolescents a variety
of educational and social opportunities so that they might better
realize their personal potential. Offerings include a weekly 7/8
advisor program; Baker Buddies (a cross grade tutored program); a variety of intermural sports options; and
Intersession (a two-day special off campus program which marks the
end of the first semester).
| | 8th Grade Speakeasy
As part of their Social Studies curriculum, Baker eighth grade students recently reenacted a visit to a Speakeasy. Students shared music, dance, art, poetry and skits to demonstrate what they had learned about life during this unique era in American history. | "Beauty and the Beast"
Baker 7th and 8th grade students presented "Beauty and the Beast" as
their spring musical. Under the direction of Music/Drama teacher
Crystal Liddiard, the young thespians impressed audiences with their
talented acting, beautiful singing, and imaginative costumes and sets.
