FAST AND BETTER Ramen Noodles Recipe... Works great as a quick and easy side dish!- Prep Time- 5 minutes (after you boil the water) You will need -Ramen noodle Soup Chicken Flavored (Beef and other flavors can be used, but chicken is the best I think) -Parmesan Cheese (Kraft works fine- an off brand or freshly grated will work also) 1.Cook ramen noodle as directed on package. (Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan, add noodles and cook for 3 minutes) 2. Omit Step two on package- Turn off heat and strain the water from the noodles. Give them a good shake. Make sure the saucepan has no water in it and return the noodles to the saucepan. 3. You will only need half of the seasoning packet, because you only need to lightly flavor the noodles with it. Evenly sprinkle the seasoning throughout the noodles, making sure all noodles are evenly coated. 4. Sprinkle over parmesian cheese generously, again coating all the noodles evenly. 5. Serve immediatly and enjoy, serves 1 hungry person. When making 2 packages of Ramen noodles just use 1 whole package of chicken seasoning. NOT NEEDED BUT YOU MAY---- You may also add some butter before you add the seasoning for more flavor, that is how I use to do it, but I have found it is just as good without the butter. Thai Basil Chicken, Plated I
Gai pad kra pow served with rice and orange slices, playing a bit with the photo composition. When I make this, I start with 1/2 an onion and 1/2 a red bell pepper diced in hot peanut oil until just soft, add 3 cloves of garlic and about 1 tbl. of grated ginger until fragrant, then add a whole split breast of chicken chopped into small pieces (3/4" or smaller). When the chicken is cooked through, I add a healthy bunch of thai basil chiffonade (or about 3 tbl. dried basil if I'm in a pinch), and a sauce made of 1/4 c. fish sauce, 1/4 c. soy sauce, a few dashes of Worcestershire (or tamarind juice when I have it), the juice of 1/2 lime, 1 tbl. rice vinegar, 2 tbl. palm sugar, and chile sambal to taste (I like it hot, the rest of the family not so much, so I go light and augment my own portion.) I reduce the sauce until it's coating the chicken a bit, and serve with rice.
