Les with wahoo Oct. 08 Ernesto Oct. 07
SPORT FISHING - Depending on the time of year (best time is Sept.-Dec.) , La Bocana has some of the best fishing in the world. Yellowtail, grouper, black sea bass and sometimes tuna, wahoo or dorado ! With Les: Prices begin at $120 for 2 and $140 for 3 people (the max). When fishing with other captains, NEGOTIATE how many fish you want to give to the "coop" BEFORE you leave shore.
One of the highlights of any trip to Baja is January to March, the season when the California Gray Whales head south to the San Ignacio Lagoon to calve. Guides use small boats called pangas, allowing you to get close enough to touch the whales, which they love. Thar she blows !
San Ignacio: Located 1.5 hours south, this is an oasis boasting 100,000 date palms lining the river, a church built out of volcanic rock, a local museum and a great plaza.....
Cave Paintings: many locations offer breathtaking views in very remote areas of Baja. The easiest to get to is Cueva del Raton (Cave of the Rat), which can be reached by car.

SURFING - is in Punta Abreojos. A huge, long beach awaits you with almost NO one else on the waves.
