Ways To Help

BAGS OF HOPE provides bags to three centers in Texas.  Who We Serve
 
Depending on the level of treatment a child requires, their stay can be anywhere from 6 - 18 months.  Therefore, approximately 360 - 400 children are supplied with a bag per year.
 
To ensure each child receives a bag when admitted to the treatment centers, we provide each center with a stock of 30 bags several times throught the year, as needed!
 
 
 
HERE ARE SOME WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
 
 
Pajama NEEDS
 
  • Sewers to remove waist cording and then stitch up remaining slits
  • Sewers to put zig-zag fringe on pyjama t-shirts
  • buyers to shop for pyjama and t-shirt bargains
  • pyjama team leader
 
 
Journal NEEDS 
 
  • Creative individuals are needed to cover composition notebooks with decorative paper and apply embellishments to compliment designs 
  • buyers for purchasing journals
        
 
Team Leaders NEEDED
 
Individual Team Leaders Needed to organize groups for following bag contents  
  (team leaders are welcome to group any of the following items.  For example, a team leader may
    manage snacks and socks) 
  • socks
  • shampoo/conditioner
  • snacks
  • chapstick
  • stuffed animals
  • "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss
  • body lotion
  • games
  • deoderant
  • brush and combs
  • devotionals
 
DONATIONS NEEDED
 
Of course, funds are always required to help with the purchases of placemats, journals, pyjamas and toiletries.  Everything counts and no donation is too small.  Every penny makes a difference in the lives of these children.

PRAYERS
 
God has always been at the centre of this ministry.  He manages it, directs it and supplies our every need at all times.  He has provided strength when we needed it the most and has blessed us more than any of us could ever imagine.  Please help by praying for this ministry to continue under God's will and direction.  And lastly, please pray for each child who receives a bag to feel God's love and gain understanding that through HIM, healing is possible.
