Agility

While blazing fast speed is a terrific luxury in a Badlove game, being able to out-maneuver your opponent will make your life a lot easier when you find yourself in a confrontation.  Because Badlove is a fast paced game, you will want to have enough control of your vette so that you can handle (or initiate) contact with your opponent without losing much speed.  Often a slick move will even help you to avoid contact altogether.  Recovering after getting flipped or spun out can be facilitated with swift 180 without losing momentum - check out the video for a few samples of how to regain your bearings or maintain your momentum.

I will note that in this area I believe manual drivers have a slight advantage over automatic drivers.  For manual drivers it is easy to switch back and forth from reverse to drive while you are driving.  I am under the impression that this is not the case with automatic, although I cannot say with confidence because I have not tried that mode recently.

The Brakes:  Also be aware that being creative with your brakes is a great way to keep the enemy guessing.  While a sudden stop could send an opponent flying out of control into the wall, a slight hesitation could be just enough to catch an enemy in a bad position so you can take him out.  (Here, too, a manual driver can put the car into reverse while moving forward for a more dramatic stop.)

Tips:
  • Ever wonder how people zoom so fast in reverse?  Here's the trick: if you have your right two tires off the road and your left two tires on the road (or vice versa), then you reversing will make you accelerate very quickly.  This works on most sections of the track, but it is helpful to know that on the backstretch before the very last turn, you will not get that extra boost in reverse.  Better to turn around quickly.
  • After you get flipped and you are waiting for the "tow truck" to reset you, have your car in 1st gear and the Full Throttle floored before you are dropped to the ground - that way you will hit the road running.
