I ask that you ignore the fact that Al Gore is the individual giving the presentation. I want you to focus on the content of the presentation. 
  • Pick out two pieces of evidence or claims regarding environmental issues and fact check the presentation. this will require you to do a bit a research. use more than one site to verify information and make sure you are using credible sources. I also want you to list your sources.
  • Also right a half page response to the presentation. What are your thoughts etc to the presentation?
  • Why are some people hesitant to believe in the evidence for climate change?
  • what do you feel is the most compelling evidence?

Weatherman evaluation

 

You will need to select a weatherman to evaluate for five days starting weds September 23rd. You will evaluate his accuracy for the five days on the following criteria.

‚       Predicted vs actual high

‚       Predicted vs actual low

‚       Chance of rain vs did it rain

‚       Any other forecasted events vs did they occur (storms etc)

 

You will need to include an excel spreadsheet with the above information. You can cut and paste this into a word document for the final product.

 

You should also include a short biography of your weatherperson. Including what news show they work for etc.

 

Pay attention to the maps they show specifically when they are talking about fronts. This will be due September 29th.
