Finding a Place at the Table for EveryoneInterfaith Families are an important part of the Beth El Community. The experiences, stories, and reflections of Interfaith Families are integral to the life of Beth El. Lisa Gieg, a member of an interfaith family and a BaDerech Task Force member, shares this thought, "Those of us with interfaith families, immediate or extended, have a different experience in raising our children."
Whether you relate to being a part of an Interfaith Family with younger children or are a Jewish parent with children in interfaith relationships, Beth El recognizes the depth of the need to support you and other interfaith families as they Find Their Way in their own journeys as well as in the connections they make within the Beth El Community. We have approached connecting to the Jewish journeys of interfaith families in our congregation on two levels: programmatic and systemic.
If you would like to receive emails concerning interfaith support groups and discussions, please contact Lisa Gieg (by referencing the Beth El Directory or by contacting the Beth El office at 978-443-9622). If you have a story to share about being a part of an Interfaith Family connected to Congregation Beth El, please send along an email, and your thoughts will be added in a comment section at the end of this page. |
