Created by Sébastien Beliah and myself in 2008, hodos
is an ensemble dedicated to work on the music of contemporary music
composers. One of the main ideas of this ensemble is to work on music
that has very often been played by classically-trained musicians but
rarely by improvisers coming from jazz or traditional music for example.
The members of the ensemble all have very different backgrounds, from
baroque music to jazz to classical-contemporary music.
hodos is working on pieces by Pierre-Antoine Badaroux, Christian Wolff, Roman Haubenstock-Ramati, John Cage, Philip Corner among others.
