Acme Tornado whistles.
Four Acme Tornado 636 whistles. I purchased five of them, arriving on june 21, 2011. Pictured here are four of them; red, green, yellow, orange and pink. All are very bright neon colors. I fitted the fifth whistle, another green one, to my bright green paracord neck lanyard. I won't have any trouble finding that one! These will be used for survival/EDC purposes. They have two great benefits over more traditional whistles. First, they are very small and light. You can put one on your keychain, lanyard, bag and never even notice it's there. Second, they are pealess. Most whistles use some form of 'pea' to produce the trilling sound. In cold climates, you run the risk of the pea freezing up inside the whistle. Especially when wet. These whistles are specifically engineered for wet situations like on a survival raft.
