Not many people know that 1300 East, once upon a time, did not connect between Highland Drive and 3300 South. Well, when I-80 was built through the area, that connection was constructed. The State Archives in Salt Lake has 145 boxes of Highway Department/DOT photos; for a photocopy of an individual photo (which is actually several photos on one page), it's ten cents.
