Pajamas, also spelled pyjamas (see also spelling differences) can refer to several related types of clothing. The original paijama are loose, lightweight trousers fitted with drawstring waistbands and worn in South and West Asia by both sexes.

The word womanism was adapted from Pulitzer Prize winning author Alice Walker's use of the term in her book In Search of Our Mother’s Gardens: Womanist Prose. In her book, Walker used the word to describe the perspective and experiences of "women of color".
