Okay, so my mom is an amazing quilter. She was so excited last week when I took her to the Artomat machine, and said it would be cool to make little quilts for Artomat. Yesterday when I went over there she showed me something she had been working on..."mini quilting" so cool, although I had her sewing machine so she had to piece it together by hand.

As she is telling me about it I look around and realize how we are just surrounded by her work, pillows, wallhangings, placemats, pot holders, everything quilted. She is on spring break this week, so I hope she works more on mini quilts, it is so cool!

St. Nick wanted to give the girls things they could use for many years. The round piece of material is a napkin (the other side is a dark green that matches one of the trees). I didn't make this, but liked the simplicity of the placemat. It certainly is a great way to use scraps of fabric too.
