I have been toying around with the idea of a Pixie Shoe with a pointed toy for babies for quite a while now, and this is what I have come up with. I just used some Linen scraps that I had floating around and it's worked out quite well (I think :-) It's fully lined with all the interior seam hidden, so it's comfortable for a baby to wear. I'll be trying out a few different fabrics, and maybe use one fabric for the lining and another co-ordinating fabric for the outer. I've also got a few ideas for screenprinting onto the fabric as well :-) I might make larger sizes with non-slip soles in the future as well. I might also add some sort of elasticised area at the back to help keep them on the feet more securely. And yes, i think I will also try and make them in bigger sizes, for adults too!

Oh, I love this display! I think it's one of my favs ever. From the clogs to the border. We usually have the border facing in- but I realsed for this it would look better turned this way- much better. The clogs were made and painted by 6-7 year olds. Usually young children are given thick paint brushes but this just shows what they can achieve when using fine paint brushes- and the concentration they showed! I just hope it's still up in the morning- the clogs are very heavy!
