Gameplay Features

KCCh,
written in the DarkBasic Professional programming language, has several modes of play.

#Stage Field#

Within the Stage Field, players will experience a 2.5D gameplay, pretty much the same as the regular old Kirby platforming, but with a new RPG twist.
Characters each have status differences, and can grow stronger through gaining experience.
Stat type info:

Level - The general measure of a character's strength.  A ballpark, so to say.   Max is 99.

Ability Level - Ability Levels start off players with only 1 or 2 attacks per ability, but as they gain experience in using the ability, they learn more attacks to use.

Health Points (HP) - The basic health measure.  Hit zero, lose a life.

Experience Points (Exp) - Experience will be gained depending on the level of the foe you defeat.  Same level, then 10 exp.  Lower the level of the enemy, the lower, higher the level of the enemy, the higher.  Minimum able to gain is 1, maximum able to gain at once is 20.  Reach 100 to levelup.

ATK - Attack stat.  Influences amount of damage a character will deal.

DEF - Defense stat.  Influences amount of damage a character will take.

Star Pieces - Currency.  Grab lots to buy stuff at the town shops.

Controls:

*The game will have you map out keys when you first run it.  You can always reconfigure whereever in the pause menu.  Think in terms of an SNES/DS controller in Kirby Super Star /Ultra.

Walk - Left/Right

Dash - Double Tap Left/Right

Jump - (B) Button (NOT B key!)

Fly - Midair + (B)

Crouch - Down

Slide - Down + (B)

Guard - (L)/(R)

Dodge - Guard + Left/Right

Attack - (Y) *And lots is different combinations with it  (SEE >>Abilities)

#City Free Run#
Outside all the ruckus, the City Free Run is a free roaming environment where players may talk to townsfolk, buy items, and play Minigames and Subgames at the arcade, and more.

#Helpers#

The helper system, one of the most favored multiplayer systems of Kirby games from Kirby Super Star, makes a return.  This time, it includes up to three at a time, and has some vast modifications to fit the RPG twist mentioned earlier.

1: There are many helpers, and a (what should be close to) unlimited number of them may be created.  Some may be recruited from towns as well.
2: Up to three players may enter the Stage Fields, while two others may be in stand-by in the towns.  The rest are to wait at a certain location.
3: Once a helper is created, its species is set, and cannot be changed with ability items.  However, some species may be able to swap or mix abilities depending on the condition.
4: Each of the three players have their own life counts.  1Up items could be given to any of them.  When a helper dies with no lives left, it will truly be gone.

#Online Play#

KCCh offers online multiplayer with up to 3 to play through the game in co-op.
