Child labor is a big, cruel problem.  In 2000 1,531,400 kids were in child labor around the world.  786,500 were boys and 744,900 were girls.  In the entire world, one in six children is or was in labor.  They work in farms, factories, plantations, and are exposed to chemicals and other harmful uses.  The children work either because their family doesn’t have enough money, or that they don’t have an education and they have nothing else to live for except to work.
