Ayna is currently working with Edison Township, Ms. Sharon Gray and Mr. Jay Elliot, to design and implement a local dog park in one of the existing recreation centers. The design in Roosevelt Park was not approved unfortunately, however Middlesex County has decided to help support our improvements.
The purpose of the park is to spread awareness about our local animal shelter, hopefully reducing the euthanization rates at the shelter and raising our adoption rates. Ayna would like the community to host many programs and initiatives at the park to reach out to whole families.
With the right guidance from Ms. Peggy Listo, Ms. Robin Zukowski, and Ms. Elaine Chelak, we can hopefully get this park going! Constant support is always great.
At the moment Ayna is meeting with directors and supervisors of Edison Township. Once land is approved (perhaps in Dudash Park) we will begin working on the implementation. At the moment Ayna is looking for grants, core sponsorships, and donations. Please contact Ayna for more information.
