Beginners Course: To be able to join a UK archery club, you first need to pass a beginners course. The content of the course is regulated by Archery UK and will teach you how to be safe when handling a bow, both for yourself and others. The course is a practical hands on opportunity to learn the art of archery and open to both adults and children*. You will have the opportunity to shoot with various types of bow, become familiar with setting up and taking down the bow, how to select the equipment that is right for you and have fun meeting like minded individuals. Aylesbury Archers run the course normally on a Monday evening (7pm to 9pm) over a 4 or 5 week duration. We like to keep the numbers limited so that we have a high proportion of coaches to pupils. Having passed the course, your certificate will allow you to join any archery club in the UK, however we hope that you will have enjoyed the course enough to join Aylesbury Archers. *Limited to Childen over 9 years, and must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian. |
