Mechanism of action

When the dressing comes in contact with the bleeding wound,

  • It absorbs the blood and forms a mechanical barrier by sticking onto the wound site thus sealing it. 
  • A temporary clot will be formed independent of the clotting pathway at the site of injury. 
  • Dressing can easily be removed by applying saline water and this wont disrupt the already formed clot.
As mechanism of action is not dependent on clotting factors, dressing may be used for patients suffering from bleeding disorders. 


Applications

A must carry product for emergency, rescue services and hospital casualty. 

Can be applied in case of:
  • Capillary bleeding
  • Lacerations
  • Punctures
  • Stab bleeding
  • Arterial or venous bleeding
