Position Title : Student Poster Contest Judge

Position Term: Temporary- June 2009

Position Description: Volunteering to serve as a judge for this contest will involve reviewing a modest number of papers and posters during the conference (no more than 3).  Each of the students has written a research paper and developed a poster to display the findings.  We have over 65 students participating, many more than last year.

The whole judging process won’t take more than a couple of hours.  You will be asked to read the paper before attending the poster display, and spend approximately 10 minutes with each student in order to accurately complete a grading sheet.  As a judge you will also be invited to attend the reception where awards will be given for the best papers.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Experience: Volunteers with every level of academic achievement in all subjects related to air and waste issues needed.

Work Conducted via: This Volunteer Position requires attendance at the 2009 A&WMA Annual Conference & Exhibition in Detroit.
