As a student at Clemson University, I find it very important to be involved in activities that help to build the community. You can easily become involved with student organizations here at Clemson University. Organizations such as IPTAY are designed specifically for students that support the athletic sports. There are also organizations that are specific to only certain majors, or those whom share common interests.
I am currently involved as a mentor through the CONNECTIONS Peer Mentoring Program. This mentoring program is designed to welcome and help minority students adjust to school and social life at Clemson Unversity. During the 2007-2008 school year, I was the mentor of three very beautiful young ladies. I was specifically chosen to mentor these young ladies because we were all nursing majors. In this photo we were participating in Adopt-a-Highway activity.
