White Dove Release Standards of the American White Dove Release Association

  1. We love and take excellent care of our white doves.
  2. We release only trained white homing pigeons outdoors during daylight hours.
  3. We release our doves within 50 miles from their home loft so that they can arrive home safely the same day.
  4. We carry our white homing pigeons in safe and comfortable, well-ventilated white wicker baskets, training baskets or pet carriers that provide adequate ventilation.
  5. We dress appropriately and arrive early to each event to conduct or supervise the dove release.
  6. We DO NOT release our doves at night or in inclement weather or rainstorms for the safety of the birds.
  7. We DO NOTrelease white ring neck doves, white squab, or untrained white homing pigeons for their safety and the dignity of your event.
  8. We DO NOT provide white ring neck doves, white squab, or trained or untrained white homing pigeons for-self release.  Our dove releases require a trained and knowledgeable dove release handler for the safety of the birds and to ensure the dignity of the event.
  9. We DO NOT discriminate anyone on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
