Volunteers are at the heart and soul of AVOL.

From our beginnings as an organization, the generosity and willingness of members of our community have enabled us to provide life-altering services for people in need.

AVOL has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Training is provided for all volunteer programs. For further information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

AVOL Companions- Provide committed companionship and transportation assistance for AVOL clients.

AVOL Lifeguards- Join this fun, energetic crew of HIV prevention outreach volunteers who make flashy appearances in bars and at public events.

Special Event Volunteers- Help out with party and event planning, provide staffing for special events, or work behind the scenes.

Outreach Volunteers- Get training to be a part of AVOL’s Speakers Bureau, perform community outreach and presentations, or just help with community health fair tables and displays.

HIV Testing Volunteers- We are always on the lookout for state certified testers to help us administer the OraQuick HIV test during our testing clinics and at special events.

Life Enhancement Volunteers- Share your special skills with our clients. Conduct client workshops on what you love most from poetry to pottery to Pilates!

Administrative Volunteers- Help out in the office providing front desk reception (including testing nights), assistance to staff with filing and other administrative tasks.

Operations Volunteers- AVOL always needs help with cleaning, running errands, set-up and break down for support groups and events.
