I was puzzled as to what to do for my daily 365 SP. But an Idea came to me from the news headlines and all the pieces just fell into place (except for eight of them). Now I am not one to advocate illegal behaviour but I was very glad to hear the news story of hackers accessing e-mails of so-called "Climate Scientists". The guys that want to ruin the global economy just so they can keep the billions of dollars of funding coming their way. It pisses me off that these so called scientists claim that the earth is warming as a result of man's action. They are nothing more than alarmists! The word fits them so well. An alarmist is defined as: A person who needlessly alarms or attempts to alarm others, as by inventing or spreading false or exaggerated rumors of impending danger or catastrophe. To make the claim of anthropogenic global warming (if it's even warming at all) is an extraordinary claim. It is also hugely arrogant. We humans are insignificant when compared to the vast systems of our galaxy and solar system. The earth has warmed up and cooled down in the past. The earth will warm up and cool down in the future. This will happen with or without humans. What will happen to mankind is global economic disaster if we keep making bad decisions based upon bogus so called science. When the claims are extraordinary the evidence must also be based on sound peer reviewed science by creditable scientists without some hidden (not so hidden any more) agenda. Is it me or is it getting hot in here? Or is my globe warming up? Do Google searches on Global Warming e-mails and learn more. P. S. save the polar bears.

A BRIEF ESSAY ABOUT AL GORE PERHAPS SOME OF US ARE...too critical of Al Gore and it is time to review our sentiments. He served his country in the military; he has had his share of personal tragedies and has been able to deal with them. He served our nation as the Vice-President for two terms and would have been quite competent to take the helm at any time. He ran a fantastic campaign for President and just when he thought he would be taking the oath of office, all hell broke loose and his dream evaporated. A little pissed, for sure. Nevertheless, I do believe the counts were right. And when, after all was said and done, he became environmentally inspired and developed a kind of theory about a global warming effect, which in my view is absolute nonsense, and felt it was his duty to make the planet a safer place. He has, in the process of promoting his theories, made one great big bundle of cash, thus relieving any of us taxpayers from ever having to bail out Al Gore. And whom among us would not trade our checking accounts for his. Thus, I hereby promise to look at Al with a more positive attitude, but I will continue to disbelieve that polar bears are endangered and hope that he will soon learn to accept the truth about the myth of global warming. My admiration for Al, however, might diminish somewhat if my heating and cooling bills double anytime during the next few years. By Robert L. Huffstutter
