Fri 04 June 2010 - No class at RONCALLI because of a "PD" day for teachers. Last Wed (02 June) was the last class for this year.

04 May 2010: - Newsletter/Memo#3 has been released by Avalon Karate. See attachment below.
- Spring Chito Ryu Karate Clinic with guest Sensei Shane Higashi May 29-30 at MQP. See attachment for schedule below.
- Club jackets orders - Due to recent requests, there will be one final order placed for Avalon Karate club jackets - deadline to submit order is 10 May 2010. Order form below
- Kumite equipment - shipment has arrived. Paid orders have been delivered (or in the process this week). Some "gloves", "belts" etc still available in limited quantities at "Sale Prices".
- Avalon Karate "White Belt" Tournament 05 June 2010 - see attachment below for registration & information. Deadline to register is 20 May 2010.

Cape St. Francis School is closed today for a teacher PD day. Therefore we are not able to have access to the school for karate tonight. Tonight only there is no karate class. Regular classes will resume this Thur night (11 Feb). |

20-21 Feb 2010: Montreal, Quebec: Karate Canada (NKA) Referee & Officials Training Camp.
Sensei Derek Ryan will be attending this national training camp. He is a National "A" fully licensed karate referee and this is part of his professional development to continually study and improve as a karate official.

KNL Tournament 23 Jan 2010 - Results There were 130 competitors from across Eastern Avalon Region of NL plus Saint Pierre & Miquelon (France). Avalon Karate athletes won 10 Gold (1st), 8 Silver (2nd), 16 Bronze (3rd). See details in attached file below "KNL_Trnt_23Jan2010Results&Standing_avk.pdf |
