| http://www.blip.tv/file/2592972 | "Some Things That You Cannot Take Back" a sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com 9-6-2009 | This sermon was preached by Pastor Nelson Turner on the Lord's Day September 6, 2009 from the inspired word of God, the AV1611 King James Bible, for the comfort and edification, correction and reproof of the saints of God. This sermon, using the history relating to David's sin with Bathsheba as the example, shows from Holy Scripture some of the things that cannot be undone once our sinful nature acts from its natural wickedness. You can't take back your purity or innocence once you sacrifice it. You can't take back your reputation once you've elected to forsake it. You can't take back time squandered in idleness or vain pursuits. You can't take back words uttered with wicked intent and no bridle upon the tongue. You can't take back deeds whether committed deliberately as a sin of commission, or negligently as a sin of omission. Verses from the AV1611 King James Bible used in this sermon include: 2 Samuel 11:1-5/ Psalm 90/ Psalm 51/ 2 Samuel 13:20/ Matthew 5:8/ Proverbs 25:11/ Hosea 4:11-13/ John 15:14/ 1 Timothy 5:22/ 2 Timothy 2:22/ 2 Samuel 16:13/ 1 Kings 2:8-9/ Titus 1:15/ Hebrews 12:14-17/ James 4:14/ Matthew 12:34-37; 27:3. The rulers of this present world and those they rule need to know that the Lord Jesus Christ ALREADY RULES over them from the throne of David which is everlasting. All government is under God and must answer to God. Endurance is contrasted with fainting in the verses Pastor Turner cites to explain the signs of faith and God's calling, and the challenges the faithful confront both for their correction and for their uplifting. Ultimately, by God's grace and calling, the perseverence and preservation of His Elect is evidenced by their steadfastness in the Lord Jesus Christ who is "the author and finisher of our faith." Verses from the Av1611 King James Bible used in this sermon include: Hebrews 12:1-3; 4:15; 12:7/ Isaiah 50:5-10; 1:4-6; 40:29-31/ Job 4:1-5; 8:13-15; 31:2-3/ Jeremiah 8:18/ Proverbs 24:10; 27:24/ Galatians 6:8-10/ Matthew 15:32/ Psalms 9:7; 72:17; 89:29; 30:5; 102:12,25-26/ Ezichial 22:14/ Mark 4:17/ 2 Thessalonians 1:4-5; 2:10/ 2 Timothy 2:3/ James 5:11/ 2 Corinthians 4:1-2 |

This clip is from a complete audio sermon available for free download on the AV1611Reformation.com website and introduces the listener to the subject of Pastor Turner's most recent sermon from the Lord's Day 8-9-2009 entitled "The Deceived and The Deceiver" also available on the website for viewing in streaming video format or for download as an audio file. Topics covered in this clip include the fact that the world hates Christians as the Lord Jesus Christ promised it would during His discourse at the Last Supper. Christians are a peculiar people, set apart. They cannot have fellowship with the enemies of God. They cannot serve God and mammon. The corporate church establishement (501c3) in the USA is an example of the fornication so called Christians commit contrary to the teachings of the King James Bible (AV1611 version), God's inspired word in the English language. Obey God rather than man: that is the example of the apostle Peter, and of all the early Christians; who were willing to die rather than make accord with falsehood, wickedness, filthy lucre, sin. The gospel truth is that God saves NOT man; not man's works whatever form they take, or with whatever pretense of worthiness they are undertaken. |
| http://blip.tv/file/2461153/ | "The Deceived And The Deceiver" a sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com 8-9-2009 | Pastor Nelson Turner of Av1611Reformation.com preached this sermon on the Lord's Day August 9, 2009. Using the inspired word of God in the English language, the King James Bible (Authorized Version 1611/1769 Cambridge Edition), Pastor Turner reviews the many ways in which both saved and unsaved people can be deceived and deceive themselves regarding their true natures and their state relative to God and salvation. The self-deception of sin without consequences is the greatest sin of which we are guilty today. This along with multiple other deceptions found naturally in man are explored in conjunction with biblical citations throughout the sermon. Pastor Turner invites the listener who purports to be saved to consider their profession of faith in view of the deceptions to which flesh is prone: pride; trying to make evil good; pursuit of wordly riches; deceptions of the heart; vanity of physical beauty; the corruptions wrought by alcohol and substance abuse; and the seeking of reward and recognition (among others). The Parable of the Sower and its lessons are particularly relevant to this subject. Verses cited from the AV1611 King James Bible include: Job 12:16/ Mark 13:5-6, 22/ Romans 16:17-18/ Matthew 24:24/ 1 Corinthians 3:16-19/ 1 John 1:8/ Ephesians 4:14, 22-24/ Leviticus 6:2-5/ Deuteronomy 11:16-17/ Obadiah 1:3/ Hebrews 3:12-14/ Matthew 13:18-22/ Mark 4:18/ Jeremiah 17:9/ Hebrews 6:4-8/ Genesis 3:17-18/ James 1:22-26/ Proverbs 14:25; 27:6; 31:30; 20:1/ 2 Corinthians 11:13/ 2 Peter 2:13/ Jeremiah 48:10/ Ezechial 14:7-9/ 2 Timothy 3:12-15. |

| http://blip.tv/file/2426118/ | "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness": A Sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com - 7/26/2009 | This sermon was preached by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com on the Lord's Day July 26, 2009. The title of the sermon reveals the topics discussed by Pastor Turner from the inspired word of God as found in the King James Bible (Authorized Version of 1611). The founding documents of the United States of America, and the spirit which helped to birth this nation - a spirit which has inpired not only American citizens but also people across the face of the earth ever since - would NOT have been possible if the founders of this great nation (which the Pastor reveals WAS a nation, but now bears little resemblance to the dictionary definition of what a nation is and ought to be) had not had the word of God in their hearts (or at least in their minds) as a result of their Christian beliefs and/or backgrounds. This fact CANNOT BE DISPUTED by any honest student of history and lover of truth. This sermon begins with a reading from the records of the "Civil War" relating the attitude of General William T. Sherman regarding the transformation of refugee slaves into fighting soldiers. A discussion of the honest use of racial labels, their origins, and the biblical truths underlying racial relations follows. The media-bred uproar caused by the behavior of Harvard professor of "Afro-American Studies" Gates following a lawful investigation and inquiry by Cambridge police officer Crowley of an apparent break-in at the Gate's home, which was fueled and exploited for racial purposes by the President of the United States (who was by his own admission ignorant of the facts of the case when he chose to involve himself and his high office in it) is also discussed. Pastor Turner then outlines the challenges and tragedies of our time, which multiply in number and severity, and which have their direct cause in the fact that this country which was once a nation directed by Christian morals, values, and principles (as clearly found and easily understood in the King James Bible) has disgarded the Holy Bible, denied the Savior, and made for itself new gods, man-made idols, which have no power to save, no power to set men free of wicked bondage, no power to impart lasting joy and everlasting life. Liberty is from the Lord. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." Can this "nation" still hope for His blessing given its direction? The blood of the innocent cries out for vengeance; abominations to God are made the law of the land; God's name is blasphemed constantly both deliberately and by indifferentism. America MUST read the King James Bible and consider what happens, what ALWAYS happens, to nations and peoples which do such things before the face of the Lord. Verses from the AV1611 King James Bible used in this sermon include: John1:4; 11:25; 5:26/ Leviticus 25:10/ Galatians 5:1; 2:20/ Psalms 119:45/ Isaiah 61:1/ Romans 8:21; 4:22/ 2 Corinthians 3:17/ James 1:25/ Job 5:17/ 1 Peter 4:14. This sermon was recorded using new equipment and glitches resulted in substandard quality. Still the message of Pastor Turner preaching from the inspired word of God comes through loud and clear to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. May it be a blessing unto God's Elect. |
| http://blip.tv/file/2352915/ | "Ordinances NOT Sacraments "- A Sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com July 12, 2009 | Pastor Nelson Turner preaching on the Lord's Day July 12, 2009 from the AV1611 King James Bible, the inpired word of God for the end-times English speaking people of the earth, demonstrates that there are only two ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament, and that while these show forth the grace of the Lord unto believers they do not in themselves by mere outward signs impart that grace. The Pastor shows that the sacerdotal system of the "works salvation" Arminian sects (still tethered to the church of Rome in this practice) is something that was pasted into the pure practice of the early Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ and transmitted by His apostles. The two ordinances given by the Lord for observance by His followers are Baptism and the memorial of The Lord's Supper. Both of these are for believers ONLY. So infants and those who have not or cannot profess belief in Jesus Christ -- as the son of God who died for our sins and is risen from the dead seated at the right Hand of His Father in heaven where He serves as the One Mediator between God and man until He comes in glory to gather His Elect from all corners of the earth at the last trumpet -- do not receive any benefit from either Baptism or communion in the Lord's Supper since they cannot receive by these signs what has not been given them by God's Will and calling by the Holy Spirit. In fact, lack of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior brings a condemnation upon those who thus unworthily eat and drink the symbols of His sacrifice. The proper performance of the rites transmitted to the faithful from the beginning is reviewed by Pastor Turner, particularly baptism by immersion, which he demonstrates contrasts dramatically with the "sprinklings" practiced by many churches which have not been able historically or willfully to cut their subservience to Rome in this matter - as in others. Verses from the AV1611 King James Bible used in this sermon include: Luke 1:6/ Hebrews 9:1,10; 6:2/ 1 Corinthians 11:2/ Ephesians 2:15; 4:5/ Colossians 2:17/ Acts 8:26-29, 36; 1:21; 28/ Matthew 3:13/ Romans 6:4/ 1 Peter 3:21. | http://blip.tv/file/2304092/ | "Christianity Triumphant" a sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com 6/28/2009 | This complete sermon concerning "Christianity Triumphant" was preached by Pastor Nelson Turner on the Lord's Day June 28, 2009 from the revealed word and truth of God as found in the AV1611 King James Bible. Pastor Turner begins his sermon by defining Christianity the faith practiced by the first followers of the Lord Jesus Christ subsequent to His Resurrection and followed ever since by those who have not admitted the leaven of heresy and human works. Early in the history of the church, the works of man and pagan practice began to creep into and choke the pure faith as revealed by the Lord and taught by His disciples, and as found in the the word of God (which is settled forever in heaven) transmitted to us in Holy Scripture. Though the true faith has sometimes been held but by few and often persecuted into near oblivion, yet the light of truth, the pure word, God's seed has ever been in the hearts of those He has chosen out of every generation by grace. The Lord assures us that He has overcome the world, and we who are His, who are with Him "called, and chosen, and faithful", dead to sin, washed by His blood, assured of life in Him by His Resurrection share in His triumph over this present world of sin and death. Verses from the AV1611 King James Bible cites by Pastor Turner in this sermon include: Acts 4:10-12/ Matthew 1:21/ John 17:2-3/ Psalm 119:89/ Matthew 24:35/ 2 Corinthians 2:14/ Romans 12:21/ 1 John 2:13-14; 4:4/ Revelation 12:10-11/ John 16:33/ Psalm 98/ 1 Corinthians 15/ Jude 1:3. | http://blip.tv/file/2272643/ | "Fear and Faith" a sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com 6/21/2009 | This sermon delivered by Pastor Turner on the Lord's Day June 21, 2009 concerns the opposition of faith to fear as can clearly be seen throughout the inspired word of God as found in the King James Bible. In an educational and animated sermon Pastor Turner shows how faith drives out fear and helps God's elect to check fear before it ensnares them. The dynamic can be a guidepost in our lives for as the pastor points out "turning from a right to a wrong action is almost always motivated by fear."; fear spawns inaction and sloth, fear spawns cowardice; and, from Job, "what I have greatly feared is come upon me." But we are instructed in the Bible to overcome fear by faith with love, and to walk by faith not by sight; to have no fear but the fear of God who alone can kill the soul. Verses from the AV1611 King James Bible cited by Pastor Turner for our edification and instruction in this sermon include: Acts 17:16, 21/ Acts 18:9-11/ Proverbs 29:25/ 1John4:18/ Romas 14:23; Romans 8/ 2 Corinthians 6:16; 10:3-6/ Galatians 5:16-17/ 1 Samuel21:11-15; 22:1/ Psalms 56:4; 53:4-5/ Job 3:25/ Proverbs 14:2; 3:25/ 2 Corinthians 5:7. The sermon concerns many lessons of significance for the consideration of God's saints concerning salvation, which is in the Lord Jesus Christ, and the operation of the Biblical principles of justification, righteousness and godliness; particularly as they are evidenced in Lot and the events of his life which lead Peter in 2Peter2:7-9 to say of him "...just Lot...that righteous man...the godly...". Pastor Turner's exegesis of how God made this possible will help you to better understand how our heavenly Father works His purpose in all both good and evil while having no responsibility for man's sins. Verses from the AV 1611 King James Bible cited in this sermon include: Romans 11:29/Jeremiah 31:31/2Peter 2:7-9/Genesis 13:13; 11:31; 12:1-5: 13:1; 15:8-11; Proverbs 16:9,33; Genesis 19:1,10,14-15,22; Genesis 18; Luke 17:28-29. Pastor Turner elucidates for those with ears to hear that "performance doesn't get you into heaven" and that many modern day "Christians" are in need of an "extreme spiritual makeover" taking the form of a "circumcision of the heart". In verse after verse, the pastor demonstrates that you don't choose to be Christian, you don't choose to be saved, you don't choose to do anything worthwhile in the sight of God. In fact, those whom God has chosen from before the foundation of the world to be His children by adoption through the Lord Jesus Christ are compelled to come into His sheepfold, compelled to come into His feast by a "divine coercion". In the midst of the sermon, Pastor Turner extended an open invitation to engage in an internet discussion concerning the corrupting concepts of man's free-will and works salvation.Verses cited in this sermon for the edification of God's saints and the condemnation of the reprobate include: Luke 8:18, 4-15 / Genesis 1:11 / Revelation 12:17 / 1 John 3:9 / 1 Peter 1:23/ Matthew 13:18, 3-14 / Proverbs 20: 12 / Isaiah 43:8, 42:18 / Ezechial 36:26 (compared with Jeremiah 31:31) / Revelation 5:5, 22:16 / Romans 13:13 / 1 Thessalonians 4:12 / Hebrews 13:8 / 2 Corinthians 8:21, 13:7 / 1 Peter 2:12. | http://blip.tv/file/2127749 | "Hypocrisy" a sermon by Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com | A sermon preached by Pastor Nelson Turner on May 17, 2009 reviewing the subject of hypocrisy as it appears throughout the inspired word of God, the AV1611 King James Bible. Following upon the Pastor's prior sermon "The Head and The Heart" http://blip.tv/file/2066742 this sermon shows the problems of "saying one thing and doing another; the problem with dissembling; the problem with feigning piety with an outward show while inwardly clinging to sin. Pastor Turner shows from the verses of the King James Bible that those who live in hypocrisy should fear for the fate of their souls. The examples and instructions concerning hypocrisy in the Bible are given shocking demonstration in supplementary readings that Pastor Turner makes from the book "Dark Days of the Papacy" and quotes from Francis Amicus and Jesuit authors revealing the wicked, equivocating doctrines of all those polluted since the 1500's by the casuistry of Jesuitical practices. Perhaps not unsurprisingly considering Rome's influence, much of so-called Christian "tradition" regarding the commemoration of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is really a corruption of early Christian belief and practice by an admixture of ancient pagan fertility rites in homage to Ishtar (Astarte), Persephone and variations on the theme of the glorification of the "Queen of Heaven" "Mother of God" and "The Matrix". If your Resurrection day commemoration has as much to do with bunnies, eggs and hot cross buns, as with the central tenet of Christian faith which comes with the promise of eternal life, you need to reevaluate where you stand with regard to your spiritual heritage. Verses of Holy Scripture from the AV1611 King James Bible (1769 Cambridge Edition) include: Acts12:1-5/Matthew 23/Exodus2:11/1Corinthians5:7-8/Romans12:9/Hebrews11:28/Proverbs8:22-23/Ezechial 8:14-15/Jeremiah7:18/Exodus32:1-4/Daniel 3:23-24. Pastor Turner finished with a reading from "The Two Babylons" by Rev. Alexander Hislop which was first published in 1853 and shows how the Roman Catholic religion polluted Christianity over the centuries by incorporating pagan rituals into the liturgy for the sake of accomodation with the people who were being added to the ranks of Catholicism from throughout the empire. Lent and Easter are NOT pure Christianity. DVD's of this sermon are available by writing to Pastor Turner at "Contact" at AV1611Reformation.com . This is a large file. Pastor Turner expounds upon insights of significance for believing Christians incuding the need to go "outside the camp" to meet with God; what Christians "eat" when they seek communion with the Lord Jesus Christ; the ways sinful men use the name of God in vain and worship Him in vain; where to go for forgiveness of sins and to Whom sins should be confessed; and the vanity, futility, and sinfulness of works performed in opposition to God and contrary to His revealed word. Preaching from the AV1611 King James Bible on the Doctrines of Grace and sovereignty of God concerning human ability to understand heavenly things, Pastor Nelson Turner of AV1611Reformation.com and sites.google.com/site/Av1611reformation shows that unless God opens your eyes, you will never see the wondrous things He has chosen to reveal about Himself in holy scripture, in nature, in all that ever was and ever will be. If God does not show you the way, you will never find it. As naturally gifted as you might be, if you lack the gift of faith you will never come to a true understanding of where you came from and where you're going. Verses of holy scripture from the King James Bible cited by Pastor Turner in this sermon include Psalms119:129-130,144,18/Isaiah66:2/Luke24:44-45/Acts16:13-15/Psalms118:19/Proverbs2:2-7/Mark12:32-33/Deuteronomy4:5-6/Deuteronomy32:28/Isaiah5:21-24/Ephesians1:17-18. Pastor Turner completed the sermon with a reading from a nineteenth century book "Popery and Infidelity" by Douglas of Cavers. And guess what, it isn't in answer to "What must I do?", at least not insofar as some cookbook observance of commandments and ritual devotions is concerned. Using the parable of "The Pharisee and the Publican" together with the Gospel accounts of the Lord's meeting with the rich young man, Pastor Turner reveals via the words of Holy Scripture contained in the King James Bible (Authorized Version of 1611) how the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father view the proper disposition for salvation of sinners.Only when you are given the spirit of repentance; the ability to humbly acknowledge that only Jesus Christ can save you from your sins; and the conviction that nothing you can do via your own will apart from God's is efficacious unto salvation can you enjoy the hope of realizing the fulfillment of the promises revealed in the Lord Jesus Christ concerning God's salvation of His Elect. Your salvation is about God's sovereignty, NOT about your own free will. It concerns the prophet Elijah and God's care for him after he had boldly stood before King Ahab and prophecied the drought and famine that was to come upon Israel for her fornication with Baal. Although the man of God did not have it all conveniently his way henceforth, God sustained him throughout the ministry He had ordained in witness against the wickedness of Israel and her neighbors. God's elect may find encouragement in the survival of Elijah throughout the many ordeals he faced against enemies that hated him. God, especially evidenced in the image of the Lord Jesus Christ as The Good Shepherd, cares for His sheep, His people chosen by His sovereign will unto eternal life. The lives of His faithful in this world are as prone to travail as those of unbelievers -- though even here the mercies of the Lord are frequently and wondrously manifested to His elect. Still, their life in the Lord -- certain, irrevocable, eternal -- is a sustaining hope for those washed in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ who have faith in His resurrection. Pastor Turner began his preaching today with a reminder to all that the freedoms and prosperity enjoyed in Western Europe and America since the Reformation are directly attributable to the Bible being available to all for reading and instruction, and to the great Reformer John Calvin. (All are admonished to consider that as Rome led by the Jesuit "army" marches unchecked to establish papal hegemony over the governments of the earth, Christians increasingly witness the loss of freedom and the specter of a dark age of superstition, fear, and tyranny over conscience.) Scripture used in this sermon includes: 1Kings17/ Ephesians4:8/ Isaiah49:24-25/ Lamentations3:34/ John7:26/ Hebrews13:6/ James5:17/ 1Corinthians5:9-10. This is a large file. Discusses the work of God versus the works of the devil and man in evangelizing the world. Do you worship God or glorify men and their works (maybe even including your own)? Do you have complete faith in the power of God's grace to convert His elect, or do you insist on the need for "spiritual exercises" to give you a soul God can't ignore? God is the "soul winner" not the missionaries in the field. If you consider yourself a "soul winner" maybe you need to reconsider what the word of God says about the subject, and under what inspiration you're operating. Using this verse, Pastor Turner explores and develops its meaning through other verses in Holy Scripture to show that God's Elect are separated from fear, and indeed imbued with power, love and sound minds by virtue of the Spirit of God which indwells them. This is "an alternative lifestyle" distinct from all we see around us; a lifestyle unlike any other that makes those living it different. But it's "diversity" the world does not welcome the way it welcomes others because this lifestyle is not of the world; and the world hates what is not its own. Verses cited by Pastor Turner in his sermon are: 2Timothy1:7/Revelation22:15 and 21:7/Psalms27:1/ Psalms56:3-4/Proverbs28:1/1Corinthians2:4-5/Zechariah4:6/1Samuel2:9/Jeremiah10:23/Jeremiah17:5/Ephesians1:19-22/John1:12/1John4:9/1John3:1/1John4:17-18/Romans5:6/ and Mark5:1-20. The spirit of fear which grips the world and the worldly is not given by God to those He has chosen. We are given power, and love, and sound minds to face and withstand this world, living in hope and the righteousness of the Lord as we await the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory. Pastor Turner using supplemental readings from others whose friendship he enjoys "in Christ", and other Bible verses, demonstrates that it doesn't take many verses from Holy Scripture to constitute a complete and efficacious "theology"; to establish, sustain and maintain a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ by His grace in this life, and by faith in Him unto life everlasting, provided that these verses are well learned AND believed. The sermon concludes with a surprise concerning the humble, decent, gentle man whose theology Pastor Turner has discussed; a man departed from this life, whose Bible -- inscribed with verses of significance to him -- bespeaks his certain hope of eternal life in the Lord. Listen to the Word of God and may you discover what sort of man you are. Do you hear what is said? Do you believe the Lord Jesus Christ as He has revealed Himself to us, or do you follow a false christ such as that preached by false prophets (in false churches) which come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly...are ravening wolves? Are you like the wise man who builds his house on rock (Jesus IS the Rock) or like the foolish man who builds on sand? Is your faith in the Lord and His word or in your own works? "Many will say to me in that day, Lord,Lord have we not...in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Are you among the few who enter in at the strait gate and the narrow way which leads to life? Or are you among the many which go in at the wide gate and broad way that leads to destruction? Pastor Turner shows from the words of Holy Scripture that there is a division in mankind wrought by the Word: sheep separated from goats; good trees and good fruit separated from bad trees and bad fruit; the washed separated from the unclean (dogs and swine); the Elect separated by God's grace and sovereign Will from the damned. Citing verses throughout the Bible, Pastor Turner explains that a nation is blessed when its God IS the Lord; and that among these blessings are liberty, prosperity, and peace for the people living therein. Contrary to the politically correct, no-price-to-pay attitude and mantras ("it's all cool", "do your own thing", "do what you wanna do", "live for today") which have become the the guiding lights of so many, Pastor Turner reveals the judgement which ALWAYS comes upon a nation which has forgotten its God to commit fornication with the idols of the world and the false religions thereof. It is a judgement which begins with the loss of liberty and must certainly end with loss of life. Seeing the warnings multiplied all around us, and knowing Holy Scripture and the lessons contained therein, those in whom God has planted His seed of life, washed in the blood of Jesus, alive with belief in His resurrection and in His Word, the Holy Spirit working in us, must do all that is possible with God's grace and by His will to reclaim our nation for Him, that it will be again possible to proclaim liberty throughout the land. "...Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation." Luke 22:46 All of us grow weary and slumber, but it is then that the "enemy" invades the field planted with good seed by the Lord, and seeks to choke the harvest of wheat with his corrupt seed. This IS a parable concerning "the kingdom of heaven", and Pastor Turner shows how it is indicative of the visible church and of its history, contrasting this "kingdom of heaven" where there is division, corruption, and punishment with "The Kingdom of God" which is incorrupt. But NOTE all you enemies --"free will, works salvation, do-it-yourselfers" -- who think it possible that the Elect of the Father, washed in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and saved by the gift of faith, believing on Him can lose our salvation: The wheat, growing together with the tares by the will of the owner of the field, is not lost. The good seed which is planted by the Lord comes to fruition and is gathered into His barn, separated from the tares which are bound together and burned. This sermon was preached on January 25, 2009. Pastor Turner shows that the doctrine of Jesus and that of those who oppose His doctrine are at enmity:"The world cannot hate you, but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil." And here again we witness the biblical teaching that the fleshly, carnal works of this world are not the same as the work of God: "that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent." And what is the response of those who hear the words and see the works of the Lord Jesus Christ if they be not among the elect of His Father? They seek to kill Him. "He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." Verse by verse, he helps us to see the Truth that God is Spirit, and His Words are Spirit and They are life; therefore, the words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ must be understood spiritually, not carnally. "It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing." In this regard the great truth of God's election is demonstrated for "Every man therefore that hath heard and hath learned of the Father cometh unto me." And in this is seen the "great divide" between the carnal man who goes his way ("free will" and works "salvation") to destruction and the spiritual man who by God's grace is called to everlasting life. For, "From that time many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him." Although not the expressed purpose of Pastor Turner's preaching this day on these verses, he does show how to properly understand Our Lord's teaching that He will give us His flesh to eat. Here again, a proper apprehension of the Lord's teaching, and clear intent, shows the divide between carnal and spiritual. The "Mass" and Roman Catholic liturgical ceremonies grounded in these verses should be examined in light of Our Lord's coherent message throughout this chapter and elsewhere. For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, Pastor Turner proves by the Word of God, holy scripture, the utter foolishness of those who would presume to improve upon the Good News preached by Our Savior by appending to it the willful works of man (as if the complete victory over sin and death won by the Lord Jesus Christ by the shedding of His blood, death on the cross, and glorious resurrection on the third day could somehow require acts of the human will to perfect them or make them efficacious.) Those who teach the Arminian, semi-Pelagian heresies of "works salvation" and "human free will choice of God" corrupt the Good News and seek to yolk themselves and others to the Law and its covenant of works under the delusion of humanity striving to make sure its salvation.
